Forget storming Area 51, Saint John’s Area 506 have announced three more surprise acts for what they assure us is their complete 2019 lineup, as far as they have planned. If you have to naruto run to any festival this summer, remember that Area 506 has been conveniently moved to for Long Wharf to Saint John’s former coast guard site.
Today the festival unveiled the mysterious additions of Fredericton’s award-winning rockabillies The Hypochondriacs, Saint John’s alt-punks Little You Little Me, and East Coast ex-pat superstars Sloan.
Rumours of Sloan joining the Area 506 lineup began circulating months ago, when some keen-eyed Sloan super-fans spotted the addition of a Saint John date to the band’s website.
The full 2019 lineup for Area 506 now includes: Interpol, City and Colour, Joel Plaskett Emergency, Matthew Good, Sloan, Tokyo Police Club, Wintersleep, The Rural Alberta Advantage, Dear Rouge, The Motorleague, Les Païens, Christina Martin, FM Berlin, The Galpines, The Hypochondriacs, Little You Little Me, Bleum, Jamie Comeau & The Crooked Teeth, Kylie Fox, The Backstays, and The Crossroad Devils.
Area 506 weekend passes are $149.00 + HST and applicable fees. A limited number of VIP weekend passes are available for $299 + HST and applicable taxes. Single day tickets are also available, as are free tickets for those under the age of twelve. This year regular admission to AREA 506 is all ages!
