Travis Cormier Prepares for Next Album With a Tale of Love at First Sight on ‘She’s Gonna Be a Song’

Travis Cormier saw a meteoric rise when, in 2016, he performed his rendition of Aerosmith’s “Dream On” on the Quebecois version of The Voice. Not only did it garner him over 7 million views on YouTube, but led to him performing with his idol, Steven Tyler, shortly after. Since then, he released his debut album, Dollars & Hearts, in 2018, opened for Bon Jovi at a sold-out Bell Centre in Montreal, and has signed with Montreal-based Agence Ranch.

Cormier has also released a new video for “She’s Gonna Be a Song” and we’re prepared to milk it for all the summery goodness we can get right now.

“She’s Gonna Be A Song” is Cormier first single in two years and the first to be released from an upcoming album set to be released in 2021. Co-written with Ken Presse (The Franklin Electric) and Nashville songwriter Luke Sheets and produced by Cormier’s longtime friend and musician Ricky Paquette, but has Cormier shows a more active role in the direction he’s headed.

More than just a story of love at first sight and the dangerous side-effects of getting involved with a musician, for Cormier, “She’s Gonna Be a Song” represents his own musical evolution as he mixes the rock influences of Aerosmith, Bryan Adams and Bon Jovi with the inspirations of new country artists like Luke Combs, Kip Moore and Jason Aldean.

“I want to bring a new sound to country music by combining my love for rock and country. I think this song is the perfect blend of both genres and makes it 100% me!” says Travis Cormier.

The New Brunswick-native seems poised for success with a swelling fanbase and that voice like honey on a razors’ edge. Travis Cormier’s upcoming album sounds like it’s ready to make an impact and a chance to really show us what he’s got.
