Folly Fest Add More Acts To 2018 Festival Lineup

Folly Family, hark and rejoice! For the season of festive announcements continues as we come unto thee bearing good tidings of great joy! Let news of this Hippy Christmas travel far across the land, and we will celebrate with great funk.

Folly Fest have announced three more acts for their 2018 lineup: Halifax’s singer-songwriter folk pop artist Jenn Grant, Windsor-by-way-of-Sackville bubblegrunge post-rockers Partner, and Montreal hip-hop supergroup Nomadic Massive.

“Two new-comers and, sticking with our theme of this year, one returning, and in my opinion legendary band,” explains Folly Fest organizer Paul McAllister.

The acts announced today will be joining previously announced The Gabriel Palatchi Trio, G-Nome Project, My Son The Hurricane, Old Man Luedecke and Plants and Animals, the five of which all share in that theme of being returning artists to the Gagetown festival.

“Jenn Grant we’ve been working on for ages, but it’s never came through. [We’re] so happy to finally be able to include her in the lineup, which I’ve gotta say, is one of our more eclectic years of programing,” says  McAllister.

We’re all over the board this year (in a good way) and I think this announcement shows that. For example, Partner, their ironic grunge is about as different from Jenn Grant’s melodic folk pop as you can get. Then, to make things even more interesting adding Nomadic Massive a multilingual hip hop band from Montreal to the list really hits the point home that there is something for everyone at Folly.”
