Paddlefest. It is supposed to be New Brunswick’s first music festival of the Summer — not in any official capacity; it’s not mentioned anywhere in their brochure, and the calendar year would disagree with that point by more than a full month. But there is an unspoken collective acknowledgement that we will be outside, on the third week of May, enjoying the beautiful seaside town of St. Andrews, live music and the fact that we are no longer knee-deep in snow. Monthly Roundup: May 2019
So, we may have mentioned this already, but we won an East Coast Music Award for Media Outlet of the Year this month. That’s pretty big news for us. We don’t even know what to do with this news and it’s sort of resulted in us carrying around award everywhere like some sort of cross between a totem of power and a teddybear.
