Cavendish Beach Music Festival are trying to make this year’s holidays a little bit brighter. The CBMF organizers have announced a special Holiday Hangout featuring fan favourite, Brett Kissel that will take place on December 28, 2020, all from a safe, virtual hosted, environment.
While the Cavendish Beach Music Festival was able to host a series of shows as a Drive-In Concert Series featuring artists from around Prince Edward Island – including Irish Mythen, Two Hours Traffic, The Ellis Family Band, Lennie Gallant, Ben Chase, Cory Gallant and The Red Dirt Posse, Brooke MacArthur, Inn Echo, Kinley, Rachel Beck, Logan Richard, Vince the Messenger, Gordie Mackeeman and his Rhythm Boys, Dylan Menzie, Trinity Bradshaw, Catherine MacLellan, Alicia Toner, and Hailee Lefort Trio – like all festivals during 2020, the experience was a little out of the ordinary.
With much anticipation over a vaccine being delivered in time for a 2021 festival season, CBMF’s organizers say they’re not ready to begin announcing their headliners just yet.
“This time of year is usually an exciting time for the festival family. By now we would have announced a handful of artists who would be performing at the 2021 Cavendish Beach Music Festival” says Brodie O’Keefe, Whitecap Entertainment General Manager.
“We are working hard to produce future CBMF’s, but as of right now we are working with our local health authorities to determine what kind of event we can have for 2021. We can not in good conscience announce headliners at this time when National and Provincial borders are closed and the Covid-19 pandemic is on the rise in our region. We would like to once again thank our front line and essential services workers who continue to keep us safe and healthy during these challenging times.”
The Holiday Hangout, hosted by Atlantic Lottery, will be a celebration to warm homes and hearts over this physically distant holiday season. The virtual show will also include a Q&A with Brett Kissel, along with a performance from First Up with RBCxMusic artist Braden Lam of Halifax, NS.
“We’re very excited for this feel-good show, for an opportunity to connect with our fans and to bring a bit of CBMF into homes this holiday season,” adds O’Keefe.

All fans who register for the event will have the opportunity to submit a question to Brett that he may answer during the virtual show. Registered fans who are 19 and over will also have the opportunity to enter to win 1 of 20 custom CBMF gift bags which will be delivered directly to their door in time for the show.
