The Trews, those princes of Antigonish, those kings of Nova Scotia, have released a brand new video for their single “Vintage Love” from their latest album and perpetual dance party, Civilianaires. The video captures the band’s shows at The Rec Room, The Kee to Bala, The CNE, and Hard Luck in and around Toronto this summer, casually setting a new high water mark for performance videos.
As we’ve said before, The Trews have to be assessed, like all great music, in the context of live performances. The ability to convey that sense of energy and crowd-shaking adrenaline into an audience is ultimately what matters most. The Trews are able to shake a room like no other east coast band. It’s no surprise that for “Vintage Love” they took an approach that might showcase the heart pounding experience of one of their lives shows.
For those looking to take that experience in first hand The Trews have announced several tour dates for the next few months, including a special show in Halifax on November 9th at The Marquee, followed by a very special performance for Hometown Hockey in Glace Bay on November 11th.
