It’s hard to believe that it’s been a whole year since The Trews released their last album, Civilianaires, mostly because it’s still in heavy rotation and regularly providing the anthem for spontaneous office dance parties. The album proves the band haven’t lost their edge at all; debuting at #1 on the Alternative Album Chart, their JUNO nomination for Rock Album of the Year, and winning them Rock Group of The Year at Canadian Music Week’s Jim Bean Indie Awards. So it’s a little curious when “Touch,” the new video from The Trews, is all about feeling disconnected. Maybe that rock and roll lifestyle has been just a little bit too good.
