Tay Creek Folk Festival Brings In Gems From Ontario, Quebec, And Nova Scotia For 2018 Lineup

Returning to the farm for its 11th year, in a place that probably has a higher population of cows than people, the Tay Creek Folk Festival is back and it’s bigger and better than ever. Pulling in talent from across the Maritimes, Quebec and Ontario, the festival’s 2018 iteration is shaping up to be something special for the discerning folk connoisseur.

This year, the festival’s new music director Eddie Young has brought in an exciting list of acts from as far as Kenora, Ontario, including this year’s headliners: The Marwills. Based in Toronto, this high-energy blues-rock outfit have been raved about and requested by festival-goers since their performances at the festival in 2014 and 2015.

Also returning to the festival will be Mike Biggar, Outside I’m a Giant, and Lindsay Foote, and performing at the farm for the first time will be The Barrowdowns, The Gypsy Kumbia Orchestra, Brooklyn Doran, Danielle Allard, Mattie Leon, Rick Sparkes + The Enablers, Rory Taillon, Raili Scott, The Stratified, Tequila Sheila and the Art of the Possible.

In addition to the stage performances, the festival-goers will be able to enjoy and participate in the Jam Tent, kids will be able to let their imaginations run wild with fun and games in the Enchanted Forest, and all with hungry bellies may satisfy their tummies at the on-site Puddleducks Café.

The farm also includes on-site camping for tents and RVs—but if you have an RV, contact them beforehand to reserve a spot. In addition, attendees can enjoy the farm’s beautiful 600+ acres of land and, when the weather gets hot, take a dip in the creek to cool off.

Tay Creek Folk Festival takes places, obviously enough, in Tay Creek, New Brunswick between July 20th and 22nd, 2018.
