Halifax Pop Explosion Announce Full Line-Up For 2017 Extravaganza

We still haven’t gotten over the headliners that Halifax Pop Explosion have announced for their 2017 music extravaganza. The 25th anniversary seems to mean the festival is pulling out all the stop. They’ve already announced the likes of Charlotte Day Wilson, Clairmont The Second, Ria Mae, Tasha The Amazon, Weaves, Charles Bradley & His Extraodinarires, Cloud Nothings, Patrick Watson, and Japandoids along with comedian Wyatt Cenac. Now they’ve fleshed more of their lineup and it looks like it will be a seriously impressive four-day musical extravaganza.

The festival persevered through torrential downpours last year to bring out bands like BadBadNotGood, John River, Laura Sauvage, Holy Fuck, The Yips, Keys n Krates, Jay Mayne, A. A. Wallace, Nap Eyes, White Lung, Basia Bulat, Century Egg, Harrison, John River, and Daniel Caesar. While there was no shortage of impressive talent, this year is like a metaphorical rainbow coming to bless us with some big names (yeah, we’re talking about Charles Bradley). There will be literally hundreds of bands rocking Halifax Pop Explosion this year.

The 2017 line-up is going to feature METZ, The Courtneys, Yukon Blonde, Rural Alberta Advantage, Bambii, Ralph, Julie and the Wrong Guys, Partner, Lido Pimienta, Malcolm London, and so many more. Here’s the lineup (still abridged, with many more to come, apparently):
