HUFF Announces Free Concerts on Halifax Waterfront and Expands 2019 Lineup

The Halifax Urban Folk Festival offers a whirlwind tour of the city’s music venues each year, but one is standing out in particular as a special destination. Develop Nova Scotia and the Downtown Halifax Business Commission are sponsoring two nights of great performances on the HUFF Waterfront Stage at The Salt Yard. The festival have also announced an extra handful of acts who will be swelling the ranks of their 2019 lineup. Music Video: Mo Kenney Strips Down ‘Ahead of Myself’ for Acoustic Performance

Mo Kenney has released a single for what would be possibly our most anticipated album of 2019. The thing is, Mo Kenney hasn’t announced any plans to release an album yet. But, along with a new for video for “Ahead of Myself,” one of The East’s Best Songs of 2019 (So Far), there’s a series of tour dates that will take her across the UK and back through the Maritime provinces before the end of summer. Music Video: CRaymak’s ‘Saviour’ Gets Picked up by Kaleidoscope Orchestra

Imitation is the best form of flattery, am I right? So what could be more exciting for local Halifax DJ CRaymak than having his track “Saviour” covered by Kaleidoscope Orchestra. “Saviour” was a collaborative effort that  features UK famous DJ/producer Flux Pavilion, South African singer Tasha Baxter and now Kaleidoscope Orchestra. The Black Edition: Nova Scotian Musicians Honoured with a Full Deck

Never mind being honoured with award ceremonies and pewter accolades, the new benchmark of success for musicians, poets, and songwriters in Atlantic Canada is being featured in Kristen Hatt Lewis’s new series of playing cards.
