Fredericton-born, Montréal-based indie rockers LAPS have dropped their latest album Soon Not Often In It, an aptly named ensemble of LAPS’ haphazard bops. Earlier this year, we were given a teaser in the form of “Brunch,” an acoustic jigsaw of shifting melodies and tempos. Paddlefest – A Festival Bursting At Its Seams

Paddlefest. It is supposed to be New Brunswick’s first music festival of the Summer — not in any official capacity; it’s not mentioned anywhere in their brochure, and the calendar year would disagree with that point by more than a full month. But there is an unspoken collective acknowledgement that we will be outside, on the third week of May, enjoying the beautiful seaside town of St. Andrews, live music and the fact that we are no longer knee-deep in snow. Music Video: Jessica Rhaye Celebrates Bob Dylan’s Birthday with ‘Ring Them Bells’

In celebration of Bob Dylan’s birthday on May 24th, Jessica Rhaye and The Ramshackle Parade released a gospel-folk-rock cover of the folk legend’s “Ring Them Bells.” As the first single off their upcoming album, Just Like A Woman – Songs of Bob Dylan, “Ring Them Bells” comes as just a glimpse of the nod to Dylan that Rhaye has in the works.
