Single: Jenn Grant Explores the Emotions and Experiences of Parenthood on ‘Happy Birthday, Baby’

If you heard Jenn Grant’s latest album,  Love, Inevitable which was released back in June 2019, it turns out you might be done listening after all. The album had been recorded while she was preparing for the birth of her son, Gus, but the experience has apparently proved to be more than might be contained within a single album. Grant is currently working on a 5-song EP that extends the story she was telling on the album, and looks deeper into the emotions and experiences of her new role as a parent. Tim Baker, Wintersleep Lead 2020 East Coast Music Award Nominations

The East Coast Music Association announced their 2020 ECMA nominees, with Tim Baker and Wintersleep leading the way with seven nominations each. Right behind them are The East Pointers with six, followed by Ria Mae, Neon Dreams, and Rich Aucoin with five nominations, and Jenn Grant and Villages with four. Music Video: Gabrielle Papillon Covers The Killers’ ‘Human’

The Killers have become synonymous with their hometown of Las Vegas. It’s hard to separate the image of Brandon Flowers from bright lights and dust, but today Nova Scotia’s Gabrielle Papillon has offered a very different perspective on one of the band’s hits. Covering “Human” from The Killers’ 2008 album Day & Age, Papillon shows us a nylon-powered version of the song that’s been stripped down from a grand anthem to something a little more earthly.
