Cavendish Beach Music Festival Announces 2022 Return With Country Music Star Luke Combs Headlining

The organizers of Cavendish Beach Music Festival, the largest multi-day outdoor music festival in Atlantic Canada, have announced its impending return in 2022. With that announcement comes the news of the first big name attached to headline:  multi-platinum, award-winning country star Luke Combs.

“We are thrilled to be able to welcome Luke Combs, one of the world’s top country music artists to Cavendish Beach, PEI. It will be three years since the last Cavendish Beach Music Festival and, personally, I’m as excited as our fans to get back to the festival grounds,” says Ben Murphy, CEO of Cavendish Beach Music Festival.

“We’ve been lucky enough to have some of the best in country music at the festival over the last 10 years, and we couldn’t think of anyone better to kick off our first festival back than Luke Combs.”

Each year, 60,000 country music fans flock to Cavendish Beach Music Festival. Its success has earned it two awards as the Canadian Country Music Association Festival/Event of the Year and two nominations for the East Coast Music Association’s award of the same name.

Combs, of course, is no stranger to country fans as well. The Asheville, North Carolina native was named by The New York Times as “the most promising and influential new country star of the last five years.” His platinum-certified song “Forever After All” has received three nominations for next month’s 55th Annual Country Music Association Awards, potentially adding to his award shelf of five Academy of Country Music Awards, three Country Music Association Awards and three more Billboard Music Award wins.

As with all large events, Cavendish Beach has naturally been subject to the ongoing circumstances, with the festival announcing a massive pivot in both 2020 and 2021. Organizers of Cavendish Beach Music Festival, however, remain optimistic for 2020 and say they be working closely with the Chief Public Health Office of PEI,  to ensure best practices are followed to provide a safe and healthy festival experience for all attendees.

Cavendish Beach Music Festival kicks off with Combs on Thursday, July 7th, and runs until Saturday, July 9th, 2022. Festival tickets and camping passes go on sale on Friday, October 29 at 10:00 a.m. (AST). Weekend passes start at $199+taxes and service fees and are available via cavendishbeachmusic.com.

Additional performers will be announced leading up to the festival.
