Music Video: Partner Know What You Can Do With Your ‘Big Gay Hands’

Finding queer thematics in a classic rock song is like finding a Leslie Nielsen movie in your Netflix recommendations; it was one of the last things you were expecting, but you’d be damned if it didn’t fill your heart with joy.

Best pals turned bandmates Lucy Niles and Josée “Choder” Caron utilize their genre-defying mantle, Partner, to deliver such a phenomenon with “Big Gay Hands.” A queer anthem right out of the gate, the duo play their game in all the right ways, resulting in a surefire head-turner.

Even without getting into the musical elements of the tune, the brilliance behind the tune’s inspiration and how it flips a situation on its head is enough to grab our approval all its own. After listening to a multitude of hard rock acts and their songs about women’s bodies and the sexualization of them, Partner decided there simply wasn’t enough songs about the big gay hands of women.

“This song is about a wild night on the town filled with queer desire,” said the duo. “It is an important song to us because it expresses a feeling we know is shared by many.”

“There are a lot of songs out there about women’s bodies but this is the only song we know about big gay hands. This song is dedicated to the hotties and to those who love them.”

On top of that, it’s simply a great classic rock song. The production of their instruments allow each and every beat and note to slide effortlessly into one’s eardrums, and the two musicians play and sing with a smooth spunk that wraps these already-fantastic thematics into a beautiful classic rock gift.

As for the music video, well, see for yourself…

“Big Gay Hands” is the third single off of the band’s latest album Never Give Up, following up their debut 2017 album In Search of Lost Time.
