PENSION Clothing Get A New Jingle Courtesy Of The Galpines

If you’re going to whistle while you work, you better be sure your Pension deserves a jingle too. That’s why PENSION Clothing, New Brunswick’s Ambassadors of Given’r, are bringing you the newest of tunes from The Galpines.

“I’ve known The Galpines for awhile and I always wanted them to write me a jingle so they did,” says Chief Pensioner Scott Veysey.

“They really did all the work. I just put the idea in their head and once they had a song I got a crew together and we filmed it in their kitchen. The idea was to do a jingle like one of those retro beer commercials.”

With a free hand The Galpines were able to craft a jingle suitable for the clothing line’s down and dirty appeal. The one caveat for the song: a clear message to everyone to keep their grubby fingers off the pension.

“We wanted to reflect the dirtbag aesthetic that the Galpines share with Pension. So we banged out a little ditty, demoed it for them, and they loved it,” says Galpine Heather Narduzzi.

“They wanted to do a kitchen party video, and they gave us free Pension swag and beer and pizza… They know how to charm a Galpine! Plus they invited our dinosaur friend, Gord, which is just good manners. You can see her towering over us in the video.”

Along with the jingle comes the news that Pension will be celebrating their second birthday at Fredericton’s Capital Complex on June 1st,  2018. The evening will include performances from Diner Drugs, Deep Fryer, and the debut of The Feely Peelers (formerly The Disasterbaters from Moncton), along with some fresh releases of new merchandise and promises “one hell of a party.”

“Also for the record,” says Veysey of the clothing line that defies limitations, “PENSION is the beer that NB deserves. Brewed with Premium Canadian Ingredients in True Maritime Fashion.”

Despite these boasts, PENSION Clothing continue in their search for a brewery partnership.
