Music Video: The Trews Hint at Plenty of New Music With Release of ‘Touch’

It’s hard to believe that it’s been a whole year since The Trews released their last album, Civilianaires, mostly because it’s still in heavy rotation and regularly providing the anthem for spontaneous office dance parties. The album proves the band haven’t lost their edge at all; debuting at #1 on the Alternative Album Chart, their JUNO nomination for Rock Album of the Year, and winning them Rock Group of The Year at Canadian Music Week’s Jim Bean Indie Awards. So it’s a little curious when “Touch,” the new video from The Trews, is all about feeling disconnected. Maybe that rock and roll lifestyle has been just a little bit too good.

Knotty by Nature Cancelled by Hurricane Dorian

Knotty by Nature, the annual music festival held on the grounds of The Ovens Natural Park in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, was scheduled to take place on September 7th, but nature* had other plans in mind. Music Video: Dillon Ryan Redlines on 80s Nostalgia With Cover of Real Life’s ‘Send Me an Angel’

Even those who remember the past are sometimes doomed to repeat it and Dillon Ryan positively revels in it. His latest video is the best argument that time is an unending loop. It cycles back to 1986 with a cover of Real Life’s “Send Me An Angel” from the film RAD, which somehow combines the plots of The Wizard and Dirty Dancing with BMX racing.
