Kiwi Jr. Explore a Line-less and Empty Toronto on ‘Waiting in Line’

Apparently, during times of great distress, people will actively and instinctively embrace whatever shreds of nostalgia can be scraped together off the floor of our existence and mushed back between our collective ears in a desperate attempt to regain the familiar comforts of a happier, safer era. So when Kiwi Jr. go all Kodakchome— complete with a Super 8mm frame effect—on their new video for “Waiting in Line,” we are more than ready to gobble it, despite having little no idea what they’re on about. He’s revisited the genre with the very traditional “The Wildwood Flower” along with an old friend and bandmate. Not only did it garner him over 7 million views on YouTube, but led to him performing with his idol, Steven Tyler, shortly after. Since then, he released his debut album, Dollars & Hearts, in 2018, opened for Bon Jovi at a sold-out Bell Centre in Montreal, and has signed with Montreal-based Agence Ranch.

Cormier has also released a new video for “She’s Gonna Be a Song” and we’re prepared to milk it for all the summery goodness we can get right now. Continue reading Travis Cormier Prepares for Next Album With a Tale of Love at First Sight on ‘She’s Gonna Be a Song’
