Jazz and shawarma have a lot in common. To get good shwarma it is often advised that one travel to a larger centre than what the east coast offers where the nuances of the garlic sauce and perfectly pickled beats get put in equilibrium with shaved meats that are spiced to perfection.

With Halifax growing at seemingly alarming rates post-pandemic, we might be able to judge its growth into a big city based on the quality of its shawarma and its jazz. Thomas Stajcer Has Big Plans and Bad Ideas for His New Single ‘Heading to the Bar to Do Bad Again’

Not all ideas are good ideas. Much like the rest of us, Thomas Stajcer has had a solid year and a half to allow some of those not-so-good ideas to percolate, fester and multiply. Now, after so many months indoors, he’s like a cuddly little Mogwai, racing off to your local watering hole and nothing good is going to come of it. His latest single, “Heading to the Bar to Do Bad Again,” is about as self-explanatory as you can expect from a title like that.

Moon Mist Sees Spirit of the Wildfire Member Jayson LeMoine Exploring his Synthwave Roots on ‘The Needle ft. Katie Wayne’

No longer simply the second-best flavour of ice cream (Love Live Peanut Butter Fudge Crunch!), Moon Mist is the new solo project from Jayson LeMoine. Best known as a member of the ECMA award-winning band Spirit of the Wildfire, Moon Mist is a hard left turn away from punk rock and into an eclectic world of Synthwave.
