New Music: The Lewinskies on Zen Accordion and ‘Yesterday We Had Everything’

There’s something magical about watching an accordion player in action. The rise and fall of the bellows seems to mimic the breathing of whoever’s holding it, working like one single entity. Perhaps this is why Kristen (Hatt) Lewis of The Lewinskies has experienced such personal growth when it came to learning to play the instrument. She hasn’t been playing the accordion for very long, but her connection to it stems back much further. Continue reading New Music: The Lewinskies on Zen Accordion and ‘Yesterday We Had Everything’

Premiere: The Muddle’s ‘Still Waiting On A Fix’ Combines Classic Hitters With Contemporary Hits

Their newest album, Whatever Pie, continues with this: a dark and heavy instrumental blend that received the softest release for such an anticipated album. Continue reading New Music: Force Fields’ ‘Whatever Pie’ is Dark and Heavy

New Music: Erin Costelo Brings Home The Soul With ‘Sweet Marie’

Soul/R&B powerhouse Erin Costelo has dropped her latest album, Sweet Marie, off the back of her very successful couple of years with her previous album, Down Below, The Status Quo. The Halifax queen looks to be making similar waves with her latest release as she seamlessly blurs the line between genre and energy. The results are an album fit for both a ballroom and a living room. Continue reading New Music: Erin Costelo Brings Home The Soul With ‘Sweet Marie’
