Deanna Musgrave’s artwork should be familiar to many people in Saint John. Her massive 56′ x 10′ painting ‘Cloud’ hangs in the Hans W. Klohn Commons at the University of New Brunswick Saint John Campus. It’s hard to miss.
Prince Edward Island web series ‘Wharf Rats’ is proving to be extremely popular, despite the fact that it technically doesn’t exist yet. With a handful of clips and a growing audience of over 8000 followers the series have managed to hook two major sources of funding. ‘Stories From A Small Town,’ the debut EP of East Coast expat band Three Finger Shot, proves that even when they’re taken away from the ocean, these Maritimers never forgot their musical roots. Released earlier this spring, the album features a mix of country and traditional Celtic music. The band is composed of Tony Ronalds, founding member of 90’s Nova Scotian folk group Kilt, and musical collaborater Trevor Bowering. They’ve been performing in their own respective acts for seventeen years, but have finally joined together for an exciting new take on Maritime folk.
