Music Video: Newfoundland Supergroup John Tease ‘Long Trip’ Ahead of Album Release

What’s in name? Apparently quite a bit for Newfoundland band, John. Despite the monosyllabic moniker, John is a six-piece band fronted by Joanna Barker (and sometimes seven-piece, as is the case for their new video, featuring Mara Pellerin on French horn). New Music: Jamie Comeau & The Crooked Teeth Finally Release Self-Titled Debut Album

If you’ve been living in Atlantic Canada over the last couple years, there’s little need to mention Jamie Comeau & The Crooked Teeth to you. This band has been blowing up. They’ve knocked it out at show after show, festival after festival, and their debut self-titled album has easily been one of the East Coast’s most anticipated of the last two years.

So, given that you’ve probably already heard them perform these songs at least half a dozen times, we are, more or less, simply here to inform you that they are now available, glorious and resplendent, in a digital format.
