Fredericton Pride Week Welcomes Comedienne Tranna Wintour

Fredericton will be expecting a special guest to cap off this year’s Pride Week festivities.  Montreal-based comedienne Tranna Wintour will be performing a special Comedy with Balls Pride show Saturday, August 13th at the Crowne Plaza Fredericton as part of the celebrations. The show will also feature a slew of East Coast comics, including Kris Trotter from Saint John, Darren Elmore of Sussex and Brittany Campbell of Charlottetown. Area 506 Festival Celebrates New Brunswick on Long Wharf

Last weekend the inaugural Area 506 Festival was held in Saint John.  Part music festival, part celebration of all things New Brunswick, the event was held at Saint John’s perennial ‘What to do with this next?’ property: Long Wharf, in a fairly unique venue built using a structure much esteemed by the port, and hipsters alike: the humble shipping container. Third Shift Set To Transform Uptown Saint John

Last year’s inaugural nighttime contemporary art event, Third Shift, was by all accounts a huge success. Ironworks: Lunenburg’s Blacksmith Shop Turned Distillery

The smell of fermentation hits you before you even walk through the doors of Ironworks Distillery.  Located on the edge of downtown Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Ironworks has been creating unique Maritime spirits since 2010.  The shop is housed in a historic marine blacksmith’s shop, and preserves the character of the building with items and photos from the 19th century shop displayed around the distillery.
