Anyone familiar with Jamie Comeau & The Crooked Teeth knows that the band don’t rush. The band may have sky-rocketed to fame in their home province of New Brunswick, but it still took them two years of burning up festival after festival to properly get their debut album released. Music Video: Andrew Waite Takes on Curtis Mayfield With a Live Performance of ‘People Get Ready’ at The Mack

On February 29th, 2020, just two weeks before the nationwide quarantine lockdown, Andrew Waite performed to a sold-out room at the Mackenzie Theatre. Without knowing what was to come, the band planned to have the show recorded, and part of what was captured includes this beautiful cover of Curtis Mayfield’s “People Get Ready” featuring Joce Reyome, effectively commemorating some of the last properly live music that many people would see for months to come. Single: Rachel Cousins is Making Trouble and Memories on ‘Summer Lovin”

Rachel Cousins’ latest single “Summer Lovin'” should not be mistaken for Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta’ s 1978 hit from Grease, “Summer Nights,” but it’s still an obvious successor to the heady hormone-fueled bop.
