Video: Folly Fest 2018

Folly Fest holds a special place in our hearts as possibly the best music festival in Atlantic Canada. Year after year we head back to Gagetown, New Brunswick like clockwork. As we’ve said before, it’s more than just a festival. It’s practically the closest thing you can get to a family reunion without being related to anyone. Joshua Sangster has been a paramedic in New Brunswick for the last ten years. For half that time he’s been in the band Honey Gut. Music Video: Tim Baker Creates Beautiful Video for ‘Dance’ at the Canadian Museum of Nature

Tim Baker teased us back in October with a video of “Dance” cobbled together from his Side Door series of small venue performances. Taken from his upcoming solo album, Forever Overhead, the song created a buzz for an already much-anticipated release from the former Hey Rosetta! frontman. While beautiful on its own, the song takes on an extra layer of amazing with this new official video, directed by Jordan Canning. Single: Open Strum Explore a Little Reggae with ‘Steady Blue Eyes feat. Izabelle Ouellet & Mickey Raphael’

We were warned when Open Strum released “Wildfire” last year that the next track they’d put out would take a distinctive reggae turn. It’s not the sort of sound you’d expect to come out of Memramcook, nor would you expect to find Willie Nelson’s harmonica player, Mickey Raphael, playing on it, but we have come to expect surprises from Michel Goguen. with their latest track, “Steady Blue Eyes,” Goguen is both exploring that reggae sound and pushing himself as a songwriter.
