Single: Slowcoaster Drop a Summery Surprise With ‘Once in a Big Blue Moon’

Slowcoaster are becoming increasingly enigmatic. After releasing their last album, Track One, as a series of stencilled paintings, and rumours that the next one might delivered on mediums ranging from soup cans to beer coasters, they’ve finally put out their first single in a year. New Music: Slowcoaster Find Success as Artists with ‘Track 1’

At the end of June, east coast powerhouse Slowcoaster quietly dropped a new album. This was not because of any lack of fanfare, but rather because of their unorthodox method of delivery. Choosing to shun industry conventions and trends, the band veered away from vinyl and cassettes to bring us their latest work on the tried and true medium of… canvas. In an effort to change the course of musical mass consumption and consumerism, Track 1 has been released on a series of hand-painted canvases, complete with download code.

Film: Black Guitar Features Slowcoaster Frontman & A Dark Truth About The Music Industry

Most of you will recognize Steve MacDougall as the friendly frontman from Slowcoaster. You can catch him cheerily singing away at music festivals for about half the year. But a recently-released short film from director Devin Casario gives us a look at how his life might have gone very differently.
