Mi’kmaq Hip Hop artist and two-time ECMA-nominee Tristan Grant, who performs as Wolf Castle, has launched a pilot project with Music·Musique NB in hopes of aiding Indigenous musicians within New Brunswick. Zachary Greer Gives New Brunswick’s Last Fatal Duel a Dramatic Film Score, Releases First Single ‘Final Breath’
New Brunswick-based composer Zachary Greer set out with a goal of working on as many film and television projects as possible. However, as he points out, the opportunities available from New Brunswick’s film industry are often few and far between. The obvious solution for was Greer was to take matters into his own hands to craft a soundtrack for a film that doesn’t even exist. “Final Breath” is the first single from his album about a historic New Brunswick event, that features chamber pop duo Pallmer. POSTDATA Casts Existential Dread in a Cheery Light on ‘Nobody Knows’
“I’m not good when the party’s packed/I’m not good when there’s nobody left.”
It’s amusing to imagine POSTDATA’s Paul Murphy (also of the Juno Award-winning band Wintersleep) standing in some ever-so-slightly quieter corner of a party, humming away to himself and pulling together the lyrics to “Nobody Knows.” It’s the sort of thing I would do — a little mental exercise to stave off the existential dread. Murphy, however, is not contented with the simple social anxieties of a single party. Instead, we’re treated to a whole laundry list of potentially disastrous situations.
