New Music: Dennis Ellsworth Delivers Another Round of Sunshine on ‘Common Senselessness’

Common Senselessness is just about what you’d expect from a companion piece to Dennis Ellsworth’s 2019 album, Common Senseless. The five-track EP is a collection of songs that were left off of the original album. Ellsworth released them as an EP, but also bundled them into the original tracklist to make a Common Senseless (Deluxe Edition), available on Bandcamp. With this in mind, it’s only natural that the sound doesn’t take any major departures. Ellsworth’s carefree outlook and willingness to kick back and smoke away his problems is just as prevalent here. Every few years such fresh political controversy overturns a page in the dictionary and uncovers a curious bit of terminology to be added into the common vernacular. We’ve seen scandals (and near-scandals) bear fruit with such words as gerrymander, prorogue, impeach and, most recently, collusion. My Black Ram Takes to the Street with Driveway Delivery Concerts

While the entire music industry is scrambling to come up with creative ways to keep business afloat and continue creating, My Black Ram has come up with a unique method of releasing their self-titled debut album. With a total lack of venues, the band has instead taken to serenading supporters at their doorsteps around the Fredericton area as they’ve gone about delivering purchased CDs, vinyl and T-shirts.
