Five Films We’re Excited To See At Lunenburg Doc Fest

Set in Nova Scotia’s own UNESCO World Heritage Site, the fourth Lunenburg Doc Fest is kicking off September 21st at the Lunenburg Opera House and will be held through September 24th. The festival will be premiering eight films among its many documentary screenings and will be holding a number of inclusive events for festival goers to attend. The Capital Project Wows Early Audiences

We already know that Fredericton has a vibrant and diverse music scene. It’s a bit scrappy, and a little wild, and righteously so—there’s no denying that the talent is there in its own sort of self-supporting microcosm. It’s the sort of music scene that at the very least deserves better than cliches, but maybe we didn’t know it could look quite this good. This week, RayneMaker Productions gave an early peek at The Capital Project, their documentary on Fredericton’s music scene, and it looked good enough to garner a standing ovation. Homeless: Saint John Film To Premiere At Third Shift

Homeless – a short film from the minds of Raven Blue, Jeff McLennan, and Cara Cole isn’t just another art film, but rather a look into transformative experiences and what it’s like to grow up in Saint John. Coupled with a live music score- produced by McLennan and Blue but with some help from the winner of this year’s ECMA for Electronic Recording of the Year, Rozalind MacPhail – the film is a one of a kind experience.
