Single: Dave Gunning Announces Vinyl Release and Tour with ‘Ferris Wheel’
Dave Gunning’s latest album, Up Against The Sky, has been keeping him busy – busy enough to announce not only another round of touring with a series of dates in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Alberta and Saskatchewan, but now the album is being treated to a vinyl release. To celebrate the news he’s released “Ferris Wheel” as the album’s latest single; a nostalgia fuelled track about kinder, simpler times. Music Video: Ursa Bright Warn Against Unearthly Pleasures With ‘Flesh’
Halifax’s Ursa Bright (formerly Orchards) are lost deep in fantasy with their new video for “Flesh.” Taken from their debut album, A Shining Sea of Dopamine, the track indulges in earthly desires on a cerebral plane, dropping lines like “we’re off to bed, but not to sleep”, to name one of the less explicit ones. Rather than gratuitous debauchery, the band explain that “Flesh” is actually a warning, running contrary to its sensuous lyrics. Single: Kim Harris Lands On Her Feet With ‘Uproar’
Kim Harris follows up her first single in five years with “Uproar,” a song which she says marks big changes in her life. Much like the phoenix-from-the-ashes anthem of “Heirloom,” the song has a lot of heft in its soul but, unlike “Heirloom,” “Uproar” takes an upbeat twist; twirling away with its meaning just out of grasp.
