Ironworks: Lunenburg’s Blacksmith Shop Turned Distillery

The smell of fermentation hits you before you even walk through the doors of Ironworks Distillery.  Located on the edge of downtown Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Ironworks has been creating unique Maritime spirits since 2010.  The shop is housed in a historic marine blacksmith’s shop, and preserves the character of the building with items and photos from the 19th century shop displayed around the distillery. New Music: Fossil Cliffs’ ‘Enter The Realm’

Fossil Cliffs is back, following their 2014 self-titled debut EP with their latest installment, ‘Enter The Realm’. Originally the side project of Kuato’s Mike D’Eon, Fossil Cliffs is an alternative experimental group based out of Halifax, produced by Acadian Embassy. While their initial album was recorded almost solely by D’Eon, with keyboard and backing vocals provided by Julia Weir, Fossil Cliffs expanded to include Trevor Murphy and Matthew Gorman for live performances, with the full band contributing to the recording of ‘Enter the Realm’. New Music: Weird Lines’ ‘Weird Lines’

It’s the 90s turn to make their resurgence. The evidence is all around us: acid-washed-mom-jeans, neon spandex, crop tops, and the ever-loathed fanny pack. But this is the price we are willing to pay if it means the re-popularization of the grimy 90s music we will always cherish. The 90s brought us Nirvana, Letters to Cleo, The Smashing Pumpkins, and countless other favourites.
