Imperial Theatre Launches Incubator Program for Emerging Artists

Making the most out of a tough situation, Imperial Theatre has, as they say, pivoted. Rather than shutting their doors entirely for the last few months, they’ve created new opportunities. The theatre’s management team has welcomed musicians, thespians and dancers onto their stage and offered up their resources. Now, with the theatre reopening to the public the theatre will be hosting these artists in a series of showcases, as part of their Incubator Project. Monthly Roundup: August 2020

Thanks to the Atlantic Canadian Bubble, August was the month we returned to socially-distanced theatre productions and the briefest of encounters with open-air live music. We might not be ready to dive back in with both feet, but it was nice to have just a taste. The new normal is still a long way off but in the meantime, we sure have a lot of new albums to review.

FIN Stream Goes Digital for 2020 – Film Festival Virtually Showcases Local and International Films

Arguably the best worst thing about 2020 is that most of it will inevitably be enjoyed from the comfort of our homes. Capitalizing on an audience that comes pre-pyjama’d and eager to binge, FIN Atlantic International Film Festival have announced their new digital approach to the festival, FIN Stream, potentially making for the largest number of pets to ever attend the festival.

From September 17 – 24, 2020, audiences across Atlantic Canada will be able to stream 114 films, with selections from 22 countries in over 20 different languages, along with FIN’s workshops and other special events.
