Supposedly most of the great art in the world is about longing and loving and heartache; intense sensations that are universally rampant and almost synonymous with the human experience. Don Brownrigg‘s latest revisits that relatable tug at the old heartstrings, as he tries to recover from an emotional and physical upheaval on “Room For Me.” Continue reading Music Video: Don Brownrigg Searches for a Place with ‘Room For Me’

Music Video: The Ennis Sisters Channel The Andrews Sisters for ‘Hey There Snowflake’
Award-winning Newfoundland trio The Ennis Sisters are marking their 9th annual Canadian Christmas Tour with the release of a festive video for their holiday single, “Hey There Snowflake.” Thankfully, they’re channeling classic three-part harmony sounds of the Andrews Sisters, and not the shouts of a Trump support rally. Monthly Roundup: November 2018
Welcome to early Winter. The season caught us with our proverbial pants down, by which we mean our all season tires. On the bright side, it’s amazing what you can accomplish when there is no reasonable expectation of going anywhere. So, thanks for that, treacherous road conditions. Here’s everything we covered in November, 2018.

Cape Breton’s Pretty Archie have managed to see it in a more romantic light for their new video “This Whole Town.” Continue reading Music Video: Pretty Archie Weigh Small Town Living and FOMO on ‘This Whole Town’
Single: Kurtis Eugene Releases ‘Rosa’ and Teases New Album
Conveniently coinciding with the two year anniversary of Kurtis Eugene releasing his last album Old Rooms, New Light, we’re seeing a standalone tease of what the esoteric musician has been up to. “Rosa” is the first new song we’ve heard from Eugene in all that time, and if anything it provides a clear signal of where he’s shifted.
