In Review: SJTC Tours Tennessee William’s Classic ‘The Glass Menagerie’

This Tuesday, the Saint John Theatre Company debuted The Glass Menagerie directed by Dean Turner. The classic memory play – where the main character is also narrator – was written by Tennessee Williams, the playwright responsible for A Streetcar Named Desire (1947), Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1955), and Sweet Bird of Youth (1959). In Review: Saint John Theatre Company’s ‘The Diary of Anne Frank’

While most Canadians were at home napping off their Thanksgiving dinner, the Saint John Theatre Company opened their 2016-2017 Studio Series with a dress rehearsal of ‘The Diary of Anne Frank’. Rather pointedly, the audience were made up of immigrants and refugees (with the exception of one theatre reviewer, who does admittedly comes-from-away). All ( though again, with the exception of one reviewer) were invited through YMCA Newcomers – a program which seeks to help the recently relocated settle into and make the best of their new home . Saint John Theatre Company Announce 2016-2017 Season

Today, the Saint John Theatre Company is revealing their 2016 – 2017 season. Even more exciting than their main stage productions—Miracle On 34th Street, Of Mice And Men, and Boeing Boeing—is the announcement that the theatre will be taking their upcoming production of An Enemy Of The People to Germany in January 2017.
