Music Video: Mo Kenney Strips Down ‘Ahead of Myself’ for Acoustic Performance

Mo Kenney has released a single for what would be possibly our most anticipated album of 2019. The thing is, Mo Kenney hasn’t announced any plans to release an album yet. But, along with a new for video for “Ahead of Myself,” one of The East’s Best Songs of 2019 (So Far), there’s a series of tour dates that will take her across the UK and back through the Maritime provinces before the end of summer. New Music: Mo Kenney’s Future Award Winning Album ‘The Details’

Talk about hooks. Mo Kenney’s third album, The Details, grabs us with the tragic tale of woe and heartbreak and the impending doom of a cat. “I know you’ll try/ to take the bigger side/ but a cat’s not a cake.” Inside the first 35 seconds of the album we’re taken through this whirlwind of emotion, across what is essentially a sweet song, subjected to atrocities, and left in tears by our own tragic appreciation of dark humour.
