With great events comes great responsibility. Festival organizers and sponsors alike are familiar with the Field Of Dreams business model: if you build it, they will come, and once you have them there you can sell them whatever you want, provided it’s beer. It’s an opportunity for events to secure sponsorship and for sponsors to take advantage of a captive audience. Cease & Desist: Picaroons Pulls Dark & Stormy Night After Legal Battle

Picaroons announced today that after a lengthy legal battle they have ceased production of one of their craft beers. For eleven years their Dark & Stormy Night certified organic dark wheat beer has been a mainstay, not only in the Picaroons line-up, but in the east coast craft brewing cornucopia. Developer Proposes Saint John’s Gothic Arches As New Brewery

Four years ago Jody McCairns moved to Saint John from Toronto with the intention of redeveloping Gothic Arches, a former church, into condominiums. With a slump in the markets, McCairns is now looking for creative ways just to keep the historic building from being demolished. His most recent proposal has been to tap into one of New Brunswick’s growing industries by turning the church into a brewpub.

Big Axe Brewery Bring Craft Beer Festival To Nackawic

Nackawic, New Brunswick: known for its Big Axe, and its Big Axe Brewery, the area is now looking to spice things up by including a Big Axe Craft Beer Festival.
