A sorrowful dig into the messy nature of small-town east coast life, this gorgeously crafted tale of Prince Edward Island makes a strong impact emotionally and visually. NFB Project ‘Far Away From Far Away’ Brings Fogo Island a Little Closer

The NFB consistently fosters and showcases film projects from all across the country, and is no stranger to experimental cinema. One of their latest pieces to be released sounds like a bit of a strange melange on paper- Far Away From Far Away, a story centred around Canadian entrepreneur Zita Cobb’s life on Fogo Island, Newfoundland in the ’60s and ’70s, and designed as an interactive mobile experience. FilmPEI Announces Four New Film 4Ward Projects for 2021

With this year winding down to an end, 2021 projects are already in the pipe, and FilmPEI has just announced the four film projects selected for their next Film 4Ward program. An incubator for local talent, Film 4Ward will see these projects through production in the coming year. Judged by industry professionals throughout PEI and Canada at large, the selected participants and projects will receive mentorship, funding up to $20,000, and in-kind access to production services and facilities.
