New Music: Jerry-Faye Embodies Sincerity On Debut Album ‘In Sum’

Any songwriter preparing to release an album will tell you, it’s damn hard work. First you have to write the songs, then edit them, fine tune every detail and then set them in arrangements that are appropriate to the lyrical content and mood of the piece. “I think I realize where I’m going with my life” sings David R. Elliot on ‘Empty Rain‘, the last track on his latest release Strawberry Grass. It’s a startling admission of intent from the Saint John born singer-songwriter which, taken out of the context of the song, sounds like a mission statement. Continue reading New Music: David R.
