We’re seeing a trend in Christmas songs being released this year. There’s a strong theme of “oh, gosh, what we can’t be together for the holidays?” Given the requirement for lockdowns and circuit breakers, protocols and social distancing guidelines we’ve experienced over the last couple of years, it’s not surprising that “Sending Love,” the new holiday single from Dartmouth-based and singer-songwriter Hilary Adams, is about longing to be together with loved ones.

Dennis Ellsworth-Fronted and Joel Plaskett-Produced Band The Moneygoround Debut With ‘Very Cherry’

You are probably already familiar with Prince Edward Island’s Dennis Ellsworth. He’s wracked up fourteen Music PEI Awards and collaborated with the likes of Gord Downie, Donovan Woods, Kinley Dowling and Drive-By-Truckers producer David Barbe. He has successfully navigated his way through the music industry for years but hasn’t quite felt at home in it. The Moneygoround, Ellsworth’s new band, takes its inspiration from The Kinks song of the same name and a general disdain for the mechanisms of the industry.
