ECMAs: Jonathan Torrens Reveals Five Performing Artists In Teaser Video With Joel Plaskett

Jonathan Torrens’ first reveal video names five of the bands that will be performing at the 2018 East Coast Music Awards, but it’s awkwardly nested inside of an interview with celebrated and award-winning east coast musician Joel Plaskett. Not to be confused with celebrated and award-winning east coast musician, David Myles.  Things don’t go as planned.

This is painful.  It’s awkward. Most of all, it’s far closer to reality than most people will care to admit. We can’t assume it’s a direct attack on anyone, but at the same time, it’s all of us.  It’s that faltering few steps every music journalist makes in their first interview. Luckily, and making it better than most first interviews, somewhere in there are those nuggets of information we are looking for.

During  the exclusive sit-down interview with Plaskett at the artist’s New Scotland Yard Studio, we learned five of the bands, including Plaskett himself, who will be performing at the 2018 East Coast Music Awards: Joel Plaskett, Universal Soul, Les Hay Babies, The Once and The Barra MacNeils.

Noticeably absent from the list is David Myles.
