Evolve Festival Announces 2017 Headliners & Upgrades

Evolve, arguably the preeminent music festival in the Maritimes, made a big change after moving from Antigonish, Nova Scotia to Beersville, New Brunswick. It meant taking a risk, but at the same time there are certain benefits to starting from scratch. Today they’ve announced a surprise headliner, and a handful of improvements they’ve made to their new home.

Evolve’s organizers have worked hard in recent years to advocate for festival safety, making difficult decisions to ensure the wellbeing of their patrons. This year Evolve Festival  have doubled the amount of paramedics, increased the amount of free water points, and constructed fencing equipped with new signage and infographics designed to provide helpful information. The festival has invested over $500,000 into the new site, including upgrades to the camping section, on-site showers, and additional lighting.

“With our biggest lineup to date, we are preparing to welcome more people than ever this year,” says Jonas Colter, Evolve Festival’s Executive Director. “We have been working diligently with professionals to both improve the grounds, which we consider to be the very best New Brunswick has to offer, and our internal processes to ensure a safe and seamless experience for our attendees. Evolve truly is evolving!”
