Living Roots Music Festival Announces Full 2017 Line-Up

The Living Roots Music Festival is getting ready for it’s second iteration this May. The festival continues to make its focus on promoting a wide variety of acts throughout smaller venues with the goal of filling every corner of Fredericton with music.  Today they’ve officially announced their official 2017 line-up.

“I am very excited to share this with everyone,” says Living Roots organizer Eddie Young. “I believe it is a great diverse lineup with something for everyone, some first time performers coming to the area, some great touring acts, and some of our best local acts.”

The  festival will be taking place May 24-28 at multiple venues around Fredericton; from the Wilmot United Church, to Grimross Brewing Co., The Capital Complex, Wilser’s Room, The Abby Cafe & Gallery, Reads Newsstand & Cafe, and The Royal Barbershop, and will feature close to forty touring and local acts. The festival will also feature special satellite performances at the newly opened Loch Pub & Grill in Harvey Station, New Brunswick with performances by The Montgomery Street Band, The Falling Leaves, The Crossroad Devils, and The Tortoise, The Hare, and The Millionare.

“The idea is to have the city full of music happening at the same time in all kinds of venues including alternative spaces,” says Young. “Mixing touring acts with local performers, including some poetry, and talks. Trying to create more of a community bringing all genres and venues together with local businesses, to maintain a growth in the community and networking opportunities within.”
