CONTEST: Something Funny’s Comedy Festival Needs A Name

The first annual festival to celebrate the East coast’s comedy scene in Southern New Brunswick is being presented by Something Funny Inc October 20th and 21st, 2017, and they’ve partnered with The East to give you a chance to win two VIP Festival Passes.

With comedy seeing a major upswing in the New Brunswick, festival directors Mark Burnett and Didi Lloyd felt now was the time to focus that moment. The festival will be taking place at venues throughout the Kennebecasis Valley and will feature some major talents from around the Maritimes including Brian Aylward, winner of the 2016 Canadian Comedy Awards Best Standup Comic, Jimmy MacKinley of CBC and SiriusXM, and the one New Brunswicker who has done more for East coast comedy than anyone else, James Mullinger.

Burnett and Lloyd have also decided to allow comedy fans in New Brunswick to name the festival, giving them the opportunity to choose from six possible names. Signing up for The East’s and Something Funny’s mailing lists gives you the chance to win a set of two VIP Festival Passes and festival swag, valued at over $300. Your email subscription must be confirmed and Facebook pages for both The East and Something Funny must be liked in order to qualify.

One winner will be randomly drawn on January 31, 2017 at noon.
